Touching the future, Q and A with a pioneer on the vision and future of tablets

The Guardian has found a way to make money without having to charge people for their news. The Guardian has always been known for free news. They do ask for one time donations or for an ad-free experience by paying a fee. I think it's very cool to see a company that was struggling to stay afloat is now making money. They have 365,000 recurring contributors and aim to have up to 2 million within the next 3 years. The Guardian releases their news every day at 3:00 a.m. London time. The slider tool is very cool to me. It moves the article along with you so you know exactly how much longer you have left in the article. People know when they are done and if they have to get more news than they can go to the other guardian app. The constant updates on the app are gonna ensure people are always getting the freshest news as possible. I know people want their news as soon as they can and people read the news at different times. For The Guardian to have an app that constantly is reporting fresh news it will for sure keep them ahead of the curb. I can see The Guardian continuing to grow as they plan. This growth of paid subscribers is only going to attract more advertisers to want to use the ad space The Guardian provides for those who aren't paying.
